Hey, don’t forget that this Sunday is Super Bowl Sunday! Make sure you are prepared with all the necessary snack foods. Sure, the Patriots aren’t in it, but hey, you still have to watch all the commercials, right?

Brad’s Progress

Filed under: General News — admin at 10:54 am on Tuesday, January 27, 2009

Brad has now set up a medical website so people can stay posted as to what is going on with him.

Here are the instructions in order to receive the postings:

Go to www.caringbridge.org
Click “visit” at the top of the page
At “site name” enter “bradleymiller” (no spaces)
Click “visit”
Enter your email address. You may have to fill in some answers about yourself.

Be sure to check the box that says something like “I would like to receive a notice of postings” - otherwise you will not get messages in your inbox. You would have to visit the website looking for those postings. The way it is set up right now is that Brad  (or someone doing it on his behalf) as the author has to add your email address to the site.

Peanut Butter Recall

Filed under: General News — Kyle at 11:18 am on Thursday, January 22, 2009

There have been a number of products made with peanut butter that have been recalled recently. We’d like to let you know that we have received all of the official recall lists and after going through our store, found that we only had 6 individual snack bars that were on the “potentially infected” list. They have been removed.

Point is, everything you will now find in our store is safe!

Menega,
Kyle

California Baby

California BabyAfter years of researching the characteristics of a great cleaner, Jessica, the developer of California Baby products found that many of the most popular soap products contain a number of harsh chemicals that aren’t known for keeping us particularly healthy. So she set out to develop a much safer and natural alternative, eventually ending up with her line of California Baby products. These are excellent products that are simultaneously safe, natural, and fun. Ranging from hand soaps, shampoos and conditioners to bubble bath, first-aid cream and diaper area wash, California Baby has everything you could need, all in a variety of scents. Some of these products are even vegan! If you want to protect yourself and your family from the harsh chemicals so often found in popular soaps, you should really give California Baby a chance. You can find their product line in our Gift Department.

Kyle

Thank you

We at the store would like to extend a very sincere and heartfelt thank you to all of those who made donations to the support of our beloved friend Henry Gebo. The amounts donated were well above any of the expectations that we had and have gone on to greatly help Henry and his family traverse these difficult times.  These donations have made it easier for everyone to focus on needs of the family, without underlying worries of financial insecurity. Thank you all so very much.

Coming up

Filed under: General News — Kyle at 9:44 am on Wednesday, January 7, 2009

It always seems like there is another holiday looming on the horizon, doesn’t it? The next one coming up is Valentine’s Day. Well, if you want to be accurate, there are plenty of others in between, but I don’t think they have invented Groundhog Day candy yet. Come to think of it, that’s a great idea. A chocolate groundhog with a caramel shadow? Nougat, maybe. But I digress. Valentine’s Day is a month-ish away and you wouldn’t want to be the only one caught unprepared. We will be putting out all of our candy, treats, and chocolates very soon, so come and stock up before all that’s left are those tiny cinnamon bits that come 10,000 to a bag. I think they are called imperials. What does that mean anyway? I never found anything particularly regal about them. I’ve had too much coffee.

Kyle
