It’s in the bag

More and more, people are coming around to the idea that shopping bags aren’t the best use of our natural resources. The use of plastic bags boosts the demand for petroleum products, while the use of paper bags promotes deforestation. Although leaps and bounds have been made in the recycling world and more people are reusing or recycling their plastic and paper bags, there is an increasing number of people who have made the shift to cloth and canvas bags. These bags are superlative to the rest because of their durability and ease of reuse.

Should you find yourself wanting to make the change from paper and plastic over to cloth, look no further than our store. We offer a variety of alternative bags, from plain canvas or cloth, to stylishly designed handbags and all-purpose Reisenthel Market Baskets.

As the world moves away from the old ways, wouldn’t you feel better being prepared?

Kyle

That’s right, we brought back the trophy! This past Wednesday, Team Shelburne Supermarket became the 2008 Low Net Golf Score Champions of the Vermont Grocers Association Scholarship Golf Tournament! That was a mouthful, huh? Important thing is, we won!

Please allow myself to introduce … myself

Have you ever been out to dinner and when the check comes, one of your friends grabs it, but only looks at it, then places it back down with no intention to pay? Rude, right? Well, that is how I have been feeling. Rude. Here I have been, writing these posts, but never introducing myself.
My name is Kyle and I have been working here for quite awhile. It’s likely that a lot of you know me already, but I still feel the need for a proper introduction. So good, got that out of the way.
I have the delightful task of keeping this blog updated so there is a chance you might see me in the store, typing away. And come back often to check out our updates. Got it?
Here is a nice shot of me hard at work!

Kyle
